Unigold Foods Plc’s Egg-Laying Contract Pilot Scheme—Providing Resources, Support, and Sustainable Income for Smallholder Farmers

Unigold Foods Plc Eggs laying contract pilot scheme was conceived to provide sustainable income for young and older farmers. Under the scheme the company provides the cages, point of lay birds, feed, drugs and vaccines and other technical support to assist the farmers once they are registered with the company's scheme. All the farmer has to have is a any small building or space that can be fitted with the cages and the farmer is then on his/her way to generating sustainable income

The company hopes to expand the scheme to about 500 small holder farmers in Benin City, before the end of 2025 and share the output of eggs 🥚 at a 70/30% ratio with our small holder farmers.
